Principal's Message

I am delighted to welcome you to the website of Govt Polytechnic for Women, Hindupur. Government Polytechnic for Women, Hindupur is one of the pioneering technical institutes for Women in Andhra Pradesh with a vision to encourage technical education among girls. Foundation stone was laid by Dr Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao, the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. The institute sprawls in a campus of 15 acres with Academic block, Workshops, Hostel and Playground. The institute offers three year diploma courses in Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and two year diploma in pharmacy with 55 seats intake in each course. The institute has well equipped laboratories with highly qualified faculty. The academic environment is vibrant with various curricular activities. Our Students garnered major chunk of State Pratibha Awards for excelling in the annual examinations. Our students have also won overall championship in District Sports meets. Our Alumni are placed in various Government Departments and Private Companies as well as Entrepreneurs.
